final presentation

Name: MUBARK 8th January, 2013 Venue: W104 Time: 11:30 Hamadan started his presentation about pollution he was confused at first then he became calm. He made some eye contact with the audience was moved his hands in order to arrive and gave some evidence to the public in order to reach the information to clarify the idea. And spoke about some of the negative effects pollution. His PowerPoint was specific and clear, and the slides backgrounds were in a good shape and sequence. He used a rich text size with good contrast. Also it didn’t contain a lot of details but only little information at the bottom on the slides. He use normal pictures and that was clear for the students while he explaining. Overall, it was an informative, interesting and nice presentation and listen to the subject.

Hamdan spoke about London in general in his presentation and started explaining to the 
audience the history of London, sports and some of the important places there. He had good eye contact with the audience and he was standing at the side of the screen to give the audience scope to see the slides. Hamdan used notes to read from but he read instead information from the screen. He spoke in a clear way and in a loud voice which reached the listener.
 He was organized but he did look a bit nervous His PowerPoint was specific and clear. The slides backgrounds were perfectly distributed and had good shades and use of clarification. He used a rich text size with good contrast. He didn’t use any animations but he used normal pictures or visuals to make it easier for the viewers while he’s explaining

Topic: Diabetes and Partnership

Mr. Ahmed Awadh opened the meeting by welcoming and greeting the Participants and opening the discussion about diabetes starting with Dr.Hamdan Khamis.
A-      Dr. Hamdan khamis started his point with a quick welcoming for the other members and brought some statistics related to diabetes in UAE and explained three main reasons of dibeties in UAE.
B-      Mr. Mohammed mentioned in his speech that there a slowdown in the treating process for this disease because of lack  education , difficulty in handling pressure of work and lack of awareness from the patient itself.
C-      Mr. Ahmed was more than happy to work on this common goal between the two hospitals to control this disease and by working with Dr. Hamdan and the imperial hospital team he will be able to help and give the right recommendations for Al noor hospital to help them with their issue.
D-     Mr. Hedley interfered with few questions asking for explanation about the disease and ways to control the situation they are facing in the hospital.
Recommendations:
1-      The meeting explained the issues related to the diabetes and how could the two hospitals cooperate to solve them.
2-      They agreed the both sides to have a partner between them and there will be a team headed by Dr. Hamdan to help Al noor hospital with problem.
3-      Emperial hospital demanded for some reports and studies from Al noor hospital to give a much clearer view a bout there situation.
4-      Main points from both sides were agreed on and further cooperation was agreed.
The meeting was controlled by Mr. Ahmed and it was successfully closed.

The chairman Ahmed Awadh started the meeting with a 2 minutes introduction “Good morning gentlemen my name is Ahmed Awadh, I am the manager of Imperial hospital for curing diabetes. I’m honored to meet you Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Hedley, we are meeting today to discuss about the partnership between Al Noor hospital and the imperial hospital.

I am accompanied today by Dr. Hamdan Khamis who is a specialist in our hospital for treating people who are suffers diabetes and he will talk to you about the causes and the treatments for this disease.”

 

Dr. Hamdan started by welcoming the guests and then he gave them an idea about what he is going to talk about in the meeting, “Good morning Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Hedley, it’s my pleasure to meet today in this meeting and in this good cause. As we know that 73% of locals in the United Arab Emirates and that is a huge percentage if we want to compare it with other nationalities.

First of all I’m going to discuss with you the causes of diabetes and after that I’m going to tell how we can cure this disease, after that Dr. Hamdan talked about the two types of diabetes that are called type one and type two.”

 

Dr. Hamdan kept talking about the types and the causes for eight minutes, and after that Mr. Hedley asked about the effect of the lifestyle on the disease “Dr. Hamdan as you see that in these days fast food is everywhere and there is nobody exercise and people use cars and buses instead of walking or using the cycle“

Dr. Hamdan answered Mr. Hedley question “I agree Mr. Hedley, lifestyle is a main reason for getting type two, because it usually comes from the lifestyle and from the genes that you got from your parents  .”

After the conversation that happened between Mr. Hedley and Dr. Hamdan, Mohammed asked the chairman Ahmed Awadh “as you know we opened a new diabetes department and we suffer from the high number of the patients, so I’m here to discuss about the partnership between Al Noor hospital and Empireal hospital.”

The chairman Ahmed Awadh answered “We Empireal hospital welcomes your partnership because our main goal is to eradicate this disease, and actually we have new strategies for delivering the information to the society, for example we use cartoons and plays for children and we give lectures and booklets for university students and employees.”

 

Mr. Ahmed ended the meeting at ten o’clock “it’s my pleasure meeting you Mr. Hedley and Mr. Mohammed; we will response to you about the partnership between our hospitals in the next meeting.”
